Verse IV.66 Variations
mohāndhāś ca bhavārṇavāntaragatā dṛṣṭyandhakārāvṛtā buddhārkaprabhayāvabhāsitadhiyaḥ paśyanty adṛṣṭaṃ padam
And, by virtue of that seeing, know how to be free from the web of what is meaningless.
Also, the minds of those blinded by ignorance, who have fallen into the foaming sea of [saṃsāric] existence
And are obscured by the darkness of views, are illuminated by the sun of the Buddha and see matters unseen [before].

Obermiller (1931) [5]
- The living beings who, at the time of the arrival of the Buddha,
- Are like blind, obtain sight and, free from all harm,
- Cognize the truth by this perception,
- And those blinded by ignorance,
- Who have fallen into the sea of worldly existence,
- And are obscured by the darkness of false views,
- Have their minds illuminated by the light of the sun of the Buddha
- And come to perceive the Truth unseen before.
Takasaki (1966) [6]
- When the Buddhas enter the city,
- Those who are of no eyes perceive the object,
- And, having seen it, cognize how to remove the net of harm,
- And [likewise] even those blinded by ignorance,
- Who have fallen into the sea of the Phenomenal World,
- And are obscured by the darkness of false views,
- Have their intellect illumined by the light of the sun of the Buddha,
- And come to perceive the Truth unseen before.
Fuchs (2000) [7]
- When a buddha goes to the city [of the disciples], people without
- eyes become sighted.
- Being freed from all meaningless things they see the meaningful and
- experience [happiness].
- When blinded by delusion they fall into existence's sea and are
- wrapped in the darkness of views,
- the light of the buddha sun illumines their vision and they see the
- very point they never saw before.
