prāsādo vaijayantaśca tadanye ca divaukasaḥ<br>tadvimānāni citrāṇi tāśca divyā vibhūtayaḥ +
Upon that, the assemblies of men and women<br>Who dwell on the ground of the earth<br>Would take sight of this appearance<br>And make the following prayer: +
atha nārīnaragaṇā mahītalanivāsinaḥ<br>pratibhāsaṃ tamālokya praṇidhiṃ kuryurīdṛśam +
adyaiva na cirādevaṃ bhavemastridaśeśvarāḥ<br>kuśalaṃ ca samādāya varteraṃstadavāptaye +
"May we too before long<br>Become like that lord of gods!"<br>Then, in order to attain that [state],<br>They would immerse themselves in adopting virtue. +
Though being unaware that this<br>Was merely an appearance, they would pass away<br>From the earth and be born in heaven<br>By virtue of their pure karma. +
pratibhāso'yamityevamavijñāyāpi te bhuvaḥ<br>cyutvā divyupapadyeraṃstena śuklena karmaṇā +
Though this appearance would be absolutely<br>Without thought and without activity,<br>Its taking place on the earth in that way<br>Would nevertheless be of great benefit. +
pratibhāsaḥ sa cātyantamavikalpo nirīhakaḥ<br>evaṃ ca mahatārthena bhuvi syātpratyupasthitaḥ +
Having churned the entire [ocean-like mahā]yāna, which contains the jewels of the host of supreme qualities and the water of wisdom,<br>And having seen buddhahood, which is like the vast sky without middle and end pervaded by the sun rays of merit and wisdom,<br>[Existing] as a treasure of stainless qualities in all sentient beings without difference,<br>The wind-like compassion of the victors blows away the web of the clouds of afflictive and cognitive [obscurations]. +
kṛtsnaṃ niṣpādya yānaṃ pravaraguṇagaṇajñānaratnasvagarbhaṃ<br>puṇyajñānārkaraśmipravisutavipulānantamadhyāmbarābham<br>buddhatvaṃ sarvasattve vimalaguṇanidhiṃ nirviśiṣṭaṃ vilokya<br>kleśajñeyābhrajālaṃ vidhamati karuṇā vāyubhūtā jinānām +
Likewise, sentient beings see in their own mind,<br>Once it is stainless through confidence and such<br>And has cultivated the qualities such as confidence,<br>The appearance of the perfect Buddha, +
tathā śraddhādivimale śraddhādiguṇabhāvite<br>sattvāḥ paśyanti saṃbuddhaṃ pratibhāsa svacetasi +
lakṣaṇavyañjanopetaṃ vicitreryāpathakriyam<br>caṅkramyamāṇaṃ tiṣṭhantaṃ niṣaṇṇaṃ śayanasthitam +
Who is endowed with the major and minor marks,<br>Performs the various forms of conduct<br>(Walking, standing,<br>Sitting, and lying), +
bhāṣamāṇaṃ śivaṃ dharma tūṣṇīṃbhūtaṃ samāhitam<br>citrāṇi prātihāryāṇi darśayantaṃ mahādyutim +
Speaks the dharma of peace,<br>Rests silently in meditative equipoise,<br>Demonstrates all kinds of miraculous displays,<br>And possesses great splendor. +
Having seen it, those who long for it<br>Devote their efforts to this buddhahood<br>And, through adopting its causes,<br>Attain the state they wish for. +
taṃ ca dṛṣṭvābhiyujyante buddhatvāya spṛhānvitāḥ<br>taddhetuṃ ca samādāya prāpnuvantīpsitaṃ padam +
pratibhāsaḥ sa cātyantamavikalpo nirīhakaḥ<br>evaṃ ca mahatārthena lokeṣu pratyupasthitaḥ +
