ས་སོགས་ལ་ཡོད་ཆོས་གང་ཡིན་པའི་ཆོས་ཉིད་དེ་ནི་ནམ་མཁའི་མིན། །
ནམ་མཁའི་མཚན་ཉིད་སྒྲིབ་མེད་ལ་སོགས་མཚན་ཉིད་གང་དེ་གཟུགས་ལ་མེད། །
ས་ཆུ་མེ་རླུང་ནམ་མཁའ་མཚུངས་པ་འཇིག་རྟེན་དག་ན་ཐུན་མོང་སྟེ། །
མ་འདྲེས་ཉིད་ནི་རྡུལ་ཕྲན་ཙམ་ཡང་འཇིག་རྟེན་དག་ན་ཐུན་མོང་མིན། །
ས་སོགས་ལ་ཡོད་ཆོས་གང་ཡིན་པའི་ཆོས་ཉིད་དེ་ནི་ནམ་མཁའི་མིན། །
ནམ་མཁའི་མཚན་ཉིད་སྒྲིབ་མེད་ལ་སོགས་མཚན་ཉིད་གང་དེ་གཟུགས་ལ་མེད། །
ས་ཆུ་མེ་རླུང་ནམ་མཁའ་མཚུངས་པ་འཇིག་རྟེན་དག་ན་ཐུན་མོང་སྟེ། །
མ་འདྲེས་ཉིད་ནི་རྡུལ་ཕྲན་ཙམ་ཡང་འཇིག་རྟེན་དག་ན་ཐུན་མོང་མིན། །
What is the true nature of earth and so on is not found as the true nature of space,
And the characteristic qualities of space (such as being unobscured) are not [found] in forms [either].
[Still,] earth, water, fire, wind, and space are equal in being common to [all] the worlds,
But the unique buddha [qualities] are not in the least common to the worlds.
या क्षित्यादिषु धर्मता न नभसः सा धर्मता विद्यते
ये चानावरणादिलक्षणगुणा व्योम्नो न ते रूपिषु
क्षित्यम्बुज्वलनानिलाम्बरसमा लोकेषु साधारणा

ལེགས་གནས་འཁོར་ལོའི་མཚན་པ་དང་། །
ཡངས་ཤིང་ཞབས་ལོང་མི་མངོན་དང་། །

དྲ་བ་ཡིས་ནི་འབྲེལ་པ་དང་། །
ལེགས་གནས་འཁོར་ལོའི་མཚན་པ་དང་། །
ཡངས་ཤིང་ཞབས་ལོང་མི་མངོན་དང་། །
སོར་མོ་རིང་དང་ཕྱག་ཞབས་ནི། །

His feet are firmly placed, marked with wheels,
And have broad [heels] and nonprotruding [ankles].
His fingers and toes are long,
Joined by webs on hands and feet.

པགས་འཇམ་གཞོན་ཤ་ཅན་ལེགས་ཉིད། །
སྐུ་ནི་བདུན་དག་མཐོ་བ་དང་། །
བྱིན་པ་ཨེ་ན་ཡ་འདྲ་གསང་། །
གླང་པོ་བཞིན་དུ་སྦུབས་སུ་ནུབ། །
པགས་འཇམ་གཞོན་ཤ་ཅན་ལེགས་ཉིད། །

His body has seven convex surfaces,
His calves are antelope-like,
And his private parts are concealed as [they are] with an elephant.

རོ་སྟོད་སེང་གེ་འདྲ་བ་དང་། །
ཐལ་གོང་བར་མེད་རྒྱས་པ་དང་། །
དཔུང་མགོ་ལེགས་ཟླུམ་ཕྱག་འཇམ་ཞིང་། །
ཟླུམ་ཞིང་མཐོ་དམན་མེད་པ་དང་། །
རོ་སྟོད་སེང་གེ་འདྲ་བ་དང་། །
ཐལ་གོང་བར་མེད་རྒྱས་པ་དང་། །
དཔུང་མགོ་ལེགས་ཟླུམ་ཕྱག་འཇམ་ཞིང་། །

His upper body is lionlike,
The flesh between the shoulders is broad and compact,
His shoulders are evenly rounded,
And his arms are rounded, soft, and not uneven.

བདག་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ནི་འབྱོར་པའི་གནས། །
དམ་པའི་དོན་གྱི་སྐུ་ཡིན་ཏེ། །
དྲང་སྲོང་རྣམས་ཀྱི་བརྡ་ཡི་སྐུ། །
ཕ་རོལ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པའི་གནས། །
བདག་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ནི་འབྱོར་པའི་གནས། །
དམ་པའི་དོན་གྱི་སྐུ་ཡིན་ཏེ། །

ཕྱག་རིང་ཡོངས་སུ་དག་པའི་སྐུ། །
འོད་ཀྱི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དང་ལྡན་དང་། །
མགྲིན་པ་དྲི་མེད་དུང་འདྲ་དང་། །
འགྲམ་པ་རི་དགས་རྒྱལ་པོ་འདྲ། །
ཕྱག་རིང་ཡོངས་སུ་དག་པའི་སྐུ། །
འོད་ཀྱི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དང་ལྡན་དང་། །

ཚེམས་ནི་བཞི་བཅུ་མཉམ་པ་དང་། །
རབ་དག་ཚེམས་ཐགས་བཟང་བ་དང་། །
རྣམ་དག་ཚེམས་མཉམ་ཉིད་དང་ནི། །
མཆེ་བ་རབ་མཆོག་དཀར་བ་ཉིད། །
ཚེམས་ནི་བཞི་བཅུ་མཉམ་པ་དང་། །
རབ་དག་ཚེམས་ཐགས་བཟང་བ་དང་། །
རྣམ་དག་ཚེམས་མཉམ་ཉིད་དང་ནི། །

His forty teeth are equally [distributed],
Very bright, and well arranged.
His teeth are pure and of equal [size],
And his eyeteeth are very white.

ལྗགས་རིང་མཐའ་མེད་བསམ་མེད་པ། །
རོ་བྲོ་བ་ཡི་མཆོག་ཉིད་དང་། །
རང་བྱུང་ཀ་ལ་པིང་ཀ་ཡི། །
སྒྲ་དང་ཚངས་པའི་དབྱངས་ཉིད་དང་། །
ལྗགས་རིང་མཐའ་མེད་བསམ་མེད་པ། །
རོ་བྲོ་བ་ཡི་མཆོག་ཉིད་དང་། །
རང་བྱུང་ཀ་ལ་པིང་ཀ་ཡི། །
སྒྲ་དང་ཚངས་པའི་དབྱངས་ཉིད་དང་། །
His tongue is big and tastes the supreme taste,
Which is infinite and inconceivable.
The voice of the self-arisen is like that of a kalaviṅka [bird]
And has the melodious tone [of the voice] of Brahmā.
प्रभूतजिव्हतानन्ताचिन्त्यरसरसाग्रता
कलविङ्करुतं ब्रह्मस्वरता च स्वयंभुवः

His eyes are beautiful like blue water lilies, with eyelashes like a bull,
His face is handsome, endowed with the white immaculate ūrṇā hair,
His head [is crowned by] an uṣṇīṣa, and the skin
Of the supreme of beings is pure, delicate, and has a golden hue.
नीलोत्पलश्रीवृषपक्ष्मनेत्र-
सितामलोर्णोदितचारुवक्त्रः

བ་སྤུ་ལེགས་ཕྲ་འཇམ་ཞིང་རེ་རེ་ནས། །
སྐུ་ཡི་གྱེན་དུ་གཡས་ཕྱོགས་འཁྱིལ་པ་དང་། །
དབུ་སྐྲ་དྲི་མེད་རིན་ཆེན་མཐོན་མཐིང་བཞིན། །
ནྱ་གྲོ་རྫོགས་པའི་ལྗོན་ཤིང་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་འདྲ། །
བ་སྤུ་ལེགས་ཕྲ་འཇམ་ཞིང་རེ་རེ་ནས། །
སྐུ་ཡི་གྱེན་དུ་གཡས་ཕྱོགས་འཁྱིལ་པ་དང་། །
དབུ་སྐྲ་དྲི་མེད་རིན་ཆེན་མཐོན་མཐིང་བཞིན། །
ནྱ་གྲོ་རྫོགས་པའི་ལྗོན་ཤིང་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་འདྲ། །
His body hairs, each one separate by itself, are soft and subtle,
Pointing upward from the body and curling to the right.
His hair is [colored] like a stainless blue sapphire,
And he is [well proportioned] like the maṇḍala of a perfect nyagrodha tree.
एकैकविश्लिष्टमृदूर्ध्वदेह-
प्रदक्षिणावर्तसुसूक्ष्मरोमा
महेन्द्रनीलामलरत्नकेशो

བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ་པར་སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་པོ། །
འདི་དག་སྟོན་པས་མི་དབང་མཚན་དུ་གསུངས། །
ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ་དཔེ་མེད་དྲང་སྲོང་ཆེ། །
སྲེད་མེད་བུ་ཡི་སྟོབས་མངའ་མཁྲེགས་པའི་སྐུ། །
བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ་པར་སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་པོ། །
འདི་དག་སྟོན་པས་མི་དབང་མཚན་དུ་གསུངས། །
The ever-excellent and incomparable body of the great seer
Is firm and possesses the strength of Nārāyaṇa.
The teacher declared these thirty-two [marks]
Of infinite splendor to be the signs of the lord of humans.

समन्तभद्रोऽप्रतिमो महर्षिः

ཇི་ལྟར་སྤྲིན་མེད་མཁའ་ཡི་ཟླ་བའི་གཟུགས། །

དེ་བཞིན་རྒྱལ་སྲས་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་ཁྱབ་བདག་གཟུགས། །
རྫོགས་སངས་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་ནང་དུ་མཐོང་བར་འགྱུར། །
ཇི་ལྟར་སྤྲིན་མེད་མཁའ་ཡི་ཟླ་བའི་གཟུགས། །
སྟོན་ཀའི་ཆུ་སྔོན་མཚོར་ནི་མཐོང་བ་ལྟར། །
དེ་བཞིན་རྒྱལ་སྲས་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་ཁྱབ་བདག་གཟུགས། །
རྫོགས་སངས་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་ནང་དུ་མཐོང་བར་འགྱུར། །
Just as the splendor of the moon in a cloudless sky
Is seen in the blue autumn waters of great ponds,
So the hosts of the children of the victors see the splendor
Of the lord on the surfaces of the circles [around] the perfect Buddha.
व्यभ्रे यथा नभसि चन्द्रमसो विभूतिं
पश्यन्ति नीलशरदम्बुमहाह्रदे च
संबुद्धमण्डलतलेषु विभोर्विभूतिं
तद्विज्जिनात्मजगणा व्यवलोकयन्ति

ཡོན་ཏན་དྲུག་ཅུ་རྩ་བཞི་པོ། །
འདི་དག་སོ་སོར་རྒྱུ་བཅས་ཏེ། །
གོ་རིམས་ཇི་བཞིན་རིན་ཆེན་གྱི། །
མདོ་ཡི་རྗེས་འབྲང་ཤེས་པར་བྱ། །
ཡོན་ཏན་དྲུག་ཅུ་རྩ་བཞི་པོ། །
འདི་དག་སོ་སོར་རྒྱུ་བཅས་ཏེ། །
གོ་རིམས་ཇི་བཞིན་རིན་ཆེན་གྱི། །

These sixty-four qualities,
Each one together with their causes,
Are to be understood in due order

མི་ཕྱེད་པ་དང་མི་ཞན་དང་། །
མཚུངས་པ་མེད་ཕྱིར་གཡོ་མེད་ཕྱིར། །

ཆུ་ཡི་ཟླ་བའི་དཔེས་བསྟན་ཏོ། །
མི་ཕྱེད་པ་དང་མི་ཞན་དང་། །
མཚུངས་པ་མེད་ཕྱིར་གཡོ་མེད་ཕྱིར། །
རྡོ་རྗེ་སེང་གེ་མཁའ་དག་པའི། །
ཆུ་ཡི་ཟླ་བའི་དཔེས་བསྟན་ཏོ། །
As for the powers and so on, due to being penetrating,
At ease, exclusive, and effortless, respectively,
They are illustrated by a vajra, a lion,
Space, and the moon [reflected in] clear water.

སྟོབས་སོགས་རྣམས་ལས་སྟོབས་དྲུག་དང་། །
གསུམ་དང་གཅིག་གིས་རིམ་པ་བཞིན། །

བག་ཆགས་བཅས་པ་ཀུན་བསལ་བས། །
སྟོབས་སོགས་རྣམས་ལས་སྟོབས་དྲུག་དང་། །
གསུམ་དང་གཅིག་གིས་རིམ་པ་བཞིན། །
ཤེས་བྱ་སྙོམས་པར་འཇུག་པ་དང་། །
བག་ཆགས་བཅས་པ་ཀུན་བསལ་བས། །
Through six powers, three,
And one, in due order,
All stains in terms of what is to be cognized, meditative absorption,
And [the afflictions] including their latent tendencies are eliminated.
बलादिषु बलैः षड्भिस्त्रिभिरेकेन च क्रमात्
सर्वज्ञेयसमापत्तिसवासनमलोद्धृतेः

དང་པོའི་སྐུ་ནི་སྟོབས་ལ་སོགས། །

གོ་ཆ་རྩིག་པ་ཤིང་བཞིན་དུ། །
ཕུག་དང་བཤིག་དང་བཅད་ཕྱིར་རོ། །
བརླིང་དང་སྙིང་བརྟན་མི་ཕྱེད་པས། །
དྲང་སྲོང་སྟོབས་ནི་རྡོ་རྗེ་འདྲ། །
གོ་ཆ་རྩིག་པ་ཤིང་བཞིན་དུ། །
ཕུག་དང་བཤིག་དང་བཅད་ཕྱིར་རོ། །

Therefore since these [three stains] are pierced, broken, and cut down
Like an armor, a wall, and a tree, respectively,
The powers of the seer are like a vajra,
Being weighty, firm, strong, and unbreakable.
भेदाद्विकरणाच्छेदाद्वर्मप्राकारवृक्षवत्
गुरुसारदृढाभेद्यं वज्रप्रख्यमृषेर्बलम्

གང་ཕྱིར་བརླིང་བ་སྙིང་པོའི་ཕྱིར། །
གང་ཕྱིར་སྙིང་པོ་བརྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
གང་ཕྱིར་བརྟན་པ་མི་ཕྱེད་ཕྱིར། །
མི་ཕྱེད་ཕྱིར་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ་བཞིན། །
གང་ཕྱིར་བརླིང་བ་སྙིང་པོའི་ཕྱིར། །
གང་ཕྱིར་སྙིང་པོ་བརྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
གང་ཕྱིར་བརྟན་པ་མི་ཕྱེད་ཕྱིར། །
མི་ཕྱེད་ཕྱིར་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ་བཞིན། །
Why are they weighty? Because they are firm.
Why are they firm? Because they are strong.
Why are they strong? Because they are unbreakable.
Since they are unbreakable, they are like a vajra.
गुरु कस्माद्यतः सारं सारं कस्माद्यतो दृढम्
दृढं कस्माद्यतोऽभेद्यमभेद्यत्वाच्च वज्रवत्

འཇིགས་པ་མེད་ཕྱིར་ལྟོས་མེད་ཕྱིར། །
བརྟན་ཕྱིར་རྩལ་ནི་ཕུན་ཚོགས་པས། །
ཐུབ་པ་སེང་གེ་སེང་གེ་བཞིན། །
འཁོར་གྱི་ཚོགས་སུ་འཇིགས་མི་མངའ། །
འཇིགས་པ་མེད་ཕྱིར་ལྟོས་མེད་ཕྱིར། །
བརྟན་ཕྱིར་རྩལ་ནི་ཕུན་ཚོགས་པས། །
ཐུབ་པ་སེང་གེ་སེང་གེ་བཞིན། །
འཁོར་གྱི་ཚོགས་སུ་འཇིགས་མི་མངའ། །
Because of being unafraid, because of being indifferent,
Because of being firm, and because of being supremely powerful,
The lion of sages resembles a lion,
Being fearless amid the assemblies of his retinue.

ཀུན་མངོན་མཁྱེན་པས་གང་ལས་ཀྱང་། །
འཇིགས་མེད་པར་ནི་རྣམ་པར་གནས། །

མི་མཉམ་གཟིགས་ཕྱིར་ལྟོས་པ་མེད། །
ཀུན་མངོན་མཁྱེན་པས་གང་ལས་ཀྱང་། །
འཇིགས་མེད་པར་ནི་རྣམ་པར་གནས། །
དག་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་དང་ཡང་བདག །
མི་མཉམ་གཟིགས་ཕྱིར་ལྟོས་པ་མེད། །
By virtue of possessing all supernatural knowledges,
He abides independently without being afraid of anything.
He is indifferent because he sees that he is by nature
Not equal even to pure sentient beings.
सर्वाभिज्ञतया स्वस्थो विहरत्यकुतोभयः
निरास्थः शुद्धसत्त्वेभ्योऽप्यात्मनोऽसमदर्शनात्

ཐུགས་ནི་ཆོས་རྣམས་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ། །
རྩེ་གཅིག་ཕྱིར་ན་བརྟན་པ་ཉིད། །

ས་ལས་བརྒལ་ཕྱིར་རྩལ་ལྡན་ནོ། །

རྩེ་གཅིག་ཕྱིར་ན་བརྟན་པ་ཉིད། །

He is firm because his mind is always
In samādhi with regard to all phenomena.
He is powerful because he has supremely transcended
The ground of the latent tendencies of ignorance.

འཇིག་རྟེན་ཉན་ཐོས་མཐའ་གཅིག་ཏུ། །
སྤྱོད་དང་བློ་ལྡན་རང་བྱུང་རྣམས། །
གོང་ནས་གོང་དུ་བློ་དག་ནི། །
ཕྲ་ཕྱིར་དཔེ་ནི་རྣམ་པ་ལྔ། །
འཇིག་རྟེན་ཉན་ཐོས་མཐའ་གཅིག་ཏུ། །
སྤྱོད་དང་བློ་ལྡན་རང་བྱུང་རྣམས། །
གོང་ནས་གོང་དུ་བློ་དག་ནི། །
ཕྲ་ཕྱིར་དཔེ་ནི་རྣམ་པ་ལྔ། །
As for worldly people, śrāvakas, those who live in solitude,
The intelligent, and the self-arisen,
Their insight is increasingly more subtle.
Therefore, they are illustrated by the five elements.

उत्तरोत्तरधीसौक्ष्म्यात् पञ्चधा तु निदर्शनम्

འཇིག་རྟེན་ཀུན་གྱི་ཉེར་འཚོའི་ཕྱིར། །
ས་ཆུ་མེ་རླུང་རྣམས་དང་མཚུངས། །
འཇིག་རྟེན་འཇིག་རྟེན་འདས་པ་ཡི། །
མཚན་ཉིད་ལས་འདས་ནམ་མཁའ་བཞིན། །
འཇིག་རྟེན་ཀུན་གྱི་ཉེར་འཚོའི་ཕྱིར། །
ས་ཆུ་མེ་རླུང་རྣམས་དང་མཚུངས། །
འཇིག་རྟེན་འཇིག་རྟེན་འདས་པ་ཡི། །
མཚན་ཉིད་ལས་འདས་ནམ་མཁའ་བཞིན། །
Since [the first four] sustain all the worlds,
They are like earth, water, fire, and wind.
Since [the fifth] is characterized by being beyond the mundane
And the supramundane, it resembles space.
सर्वलोकोपजीव्यत्वाद्भूम्यम्ब्वग्न्यनिलोपमाः

དེ་དག་ཡོན་ཏན་སུམ་ཅུ་ནི། །
གཉིས་འདི་ཆོས་སྐུས་རབ་ཕྱེ་སྟེ། །
ནོར་བུ་རིན་ཆེན་འོད་མདོག་དང་། །
དབྱིབས་བཞིན་དབྱེ་བ་མེད་ཕྱིར་རོ། །
དེ་དག་ཡོན་ཏན་སུམ་ཅུ་ནི། །
གཉིས་འདི་ཆོས་སྐུས་རབ་ཕྱེ་སྟེ། །
ནོར་བུ་རིན་ཆེན་འོད་མདོག་དང་། །
དབྱིབས་བཞིན་དབྱེ་བ་མེད་ཕྱིར་རོ། །
These thirty-two qualities mentioned
[Here] make up the dharmakāya
Because they are undifferentiable [from it],
Just as its radiance, color, and form are [inseparable from] a precious jewel.
गुणा द्वात्रिंशदित्येते धर्मकायप्रभाविताः
मणिरत्नप्रभावर्णसंस्थानवदभेदतः

མཐོང་ན་ཚིམ་བྱེད་ཡོན་ཏན་གང་། །
སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་ཞེས་བྱ་བ། །
སྤྲུལ་པ་ཆོས་ལ་རྫོགས་པར་ནི། །
ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས་སྐུ་གཉིས་ལ་བརྟེན། །
མཐོང་ན་ཚིམ་བྱེད་ཡོན་ཏན་གང་། །
སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་ཞེས་བྱ་བ། །
སྤྲུལ་པ་ཆོས་ལ་རྫོགས་པར་ནི། །

What are called "the thirty-two marks"
Are the qualities that delight upon being seen
And are based on the two rūpakāyas—
The nirmāṇa[kāya] and the one enjoying the dharma.

དག་ལས་རིང་དང་ཉེ་རྣམས་ལས། །

དེ་མཐོང་བ་ནི་རྣམ་པ་གཉིས། །
དག་ལས་རིང་དང་ཉེ་རྣམས་ལས། །
འཇིག་རྟེན་རྒྱལ་བའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དུ། །

For those who dwell far from and close to purity,
In the world and in the maṇḍala of the victor,
They display in two ways, just as [does] the form
Of the moon in pure water and in the sky.

སྟོབས་ཉིད་མ་རིག་སྒྲིབ་ལ་རྡོ་རྗེ་བཞིན། །

དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་མ་འདྲེས་མཁའ་བཞིན་ཏེ། །
ཐུབ་པའི་བསྟན་པ་རྣམ་གཉིས་ཆུ་ཟླ་བཞིན། །
སྟོབས་ཉིད་མ་རིག་སྒྲིབ་ལ་རྡོ་རྗེ་བཞིན། །
མི་འཇིགས་ཉིད་ནི་འཁོར་དུ་སེང་གེ་བཞིན། །

The powers are like a vajra for the obscurations of ignorance,
The fearlessnesses amid the retinue resemble a lion,
The unique [qualities] of the Tathāgata are similar to space,
And the sage’s two kinds of display are like the moon [reflected in] water.
बलत्वमज्ञानवृतेषु वज्रव-
द्विशारदत्वं परिषत्सु सिंहवत्
तथागतावेणिकतान्तरीक्षवन्
मुनेर्द्विधादर्शनमम्बुचन्द्रवत्

[In knowing] what is the case and what is not the case, maturation, constitutions, the various inclinations of beings, the means,
What is afflicted and purified, the collection of faculties, recollection of former [birth]places,
The divine eye, and the mode of the termination of contamination, the powers are like a vajra
Because they pierce the armor, break the immovable wall, and cut down the tree of ignorance.
स्थानास्थानविपाकधातुषु जगन्नानाधुमुक्तौ नये
संक्लेशव्यवदान इन्द्रियगणे पूर्वे निवासस्मृतौ
दिव्ये चक्षुषि चास्रवक्षयविधावज्ञानवर्माचल-

བདག་གཞན་ཤེས་བྱའི་དངོས་པོ་རྣམ་ཀུན་ཤེས་དང་ཤེས་མཛད་ཕྱིར། །
སྤང་དངོས་སྤངས་དང་སྤོང་མཛད་ཕྱིར་དང་བརྟེན་བྱ་བསྟེན་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
ཐོབ་བྱ་བླ་མེད་ཤིན་ཏུ་དྲི་མེད་ཐོབ་དང་ཐོབ་མཛད་ཕྱིར། །
རང་གཞན་དོན་ལྡན་གསུང་ཕྱིར་དྲང་སྲོང་གང་དུའང་ཐོགས་པ་མེད། །
By virtue of knowing and making others know all one’s own entities and those of others that are to be known,
By virtue of having relinquished and making [others] relinquish the entities to be relinquished, by virtue of having relied [and making others rely] on the means to be relied on,
And by virtue of having attained and making others attain the unsurpassable and utterly stainless [state] to be attained,
The noble ones are never paralyzed with fear anywhere since they teach the reality of one’s own welfare and that of others.
ज्ञेये वस्तुनि सर्वथात्मपरयोर्ज्ञानात् स्वयंज्ञापना-
द्धेये वस्तुनि हानिकारणकृतेः सेव्ये विधौ सेवनात्
प्राप्तव्ये च निरुत्तरेऽतिविमले प्राप्तेः परप्रापणा-

དེ་ཡི་ཡུལ་དང་དུས་སུ་གཤེགས་པ་ལ། །
ཁྱབ་བདག་རྟག་ཏུ་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པར་འཇུག །
གདུལ་བྱའི་ཁམས་དང་འདུལ་བའི་ཐབས་དང་ནི། །

The lord always engages without effort
In the constitutions of those to be guided, the means to guide them,
The activities of guidance [that suit] the constitutions of those to be guided,
And in finding the [proper] place and time for this [activity]
विनेयधातौ विनयाभ्युपाये
विनेयधातोर्विनयक्रियायाम्
तद्देशकाले गमने च नित्यं
विभोरनाभोगत एव वृत्तिः

IV.10
རྒྱ་ཆེ་མཐའ་དང་དབུས་མེད་ཕྱིར། །
བྱང་ཆུབ་ནམ་མཁའི་ཁམས་བཞིན་ནོ། །
ཡང་དག་རྫོགས་སངས་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཕྱིར། །
སེམས་ཅན་ཁམས་ནི་གཏེར་དང་འདྲ། །
རྒྱ་ཆེ་མཐའ་དང་དབུས་མེད་ཕྱིར། །
བྱང་ཆུབ་ནམ་མཁའི་ཁམས་བཞིན་ནོ། །
ཡང་དག་རྫོགས་སངས་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཕྱིར། །
སེམས་ཅན་ཁམས་ནི་གཏེར་དང་འདྲ། །
Since it is vast and is without middle and end,
Awakening is similar to the element of space.
Since it has the nature of completely perfect buddhahood,
The basic element of sentient beings is like a treasure.
विपुलानन्तमध्यत्वाद्बोधिराकाशधतुवत्
सम्यक्संबुद्धधर्मत्वात् सत्त्वधातुर्निधानवत्

གློ་བུར་ཁྱབ་དང་མ་གྲུབ་ཕྱིར། །
དེ་ཡི་ཉོན་མོངས་སྤྲིན་ཚོགས་བཞིན། །

ཐུགས་རྗེ་མི་བཟད་རླུང་དང་འདྲ། །
གློ་བུར་ཁྱབ་དང་མ་གྲུབ་ཕྱིར། །
དེ་ཡི་ཉོན་མོངས་སྤྲིན་ཚོགས་བཞིན། །
དེ་འཐོར་བར་ནི་ཉེར་གནས་ཕྱིར། །

Since they are adventitious, pervasive, and not established,
Its afflictions resemble cloud banks.
Since it accomplishes the dispersion of these [clouds],
Compassion is like a strong wind.
आगन्तुव्याप्त्यनिष्प त्तेस्तत्संक्लेशोऽभ्रराशिवत्
तत्क्षिंप्तिप्रत्युपस्थानात् करुणोद्वृत्तवायुवत्

གཞན་གྱི་དབང་གིས་ངེས་འབྱུང་དང་། །
བདག་དང་སེམས་ཅན་མཚུངས་གཟིགས་དང་། །

འཁོར་བ་སྲིད་དུ་མཛད་མི་འཆད། །

Because of [accomplishing] deliverance for the sake of others,
Because of regarding sentient beings and oneself as equal,
And because of there being no end to what is to be done,
[Buddha] activity is uninterrupted as long as [saṃsāric] existence lasts.
पराधिकारनिर्याणात् सत्त्वात्मसमदर्शनात्

Like Śakra and a drum, like clouds,
Brahmā, the sun, and a precious jewel,
Like an echo, like space and the earth,
Thus is the Tathāgata.
शक्रदुन्दुभिवन् मेघब्रह्मार्कमणिरत्नवत्

རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཁང་བཟང་དང་། །

And their divine abundances.

དེ་ནས་སྐྱེས་པ་བུད་མེད་ཚོགས། །

ངེད་ཀྱང་རིང་པོར་མི་ཐོགས་པར། །

Upon that, the assemblies of men and women
Who dwell on the ground of the earth

अथ नारीनरगणा महीतलनिवासिनः
प्रतिभासं तमालोक्य प्रणिधिं कुर्युरीदृशम्

ལྷ་དབང་འདི་འདྲར་གྱུར་ཅིག་ཅེས། །
དེ་འདྲའི་སྨོན་ལམ་འདེབས་བྱེད་ཅིང་། །
དེ་ཐོབ་དོན་དུ་དགེ་བ་ནི། །
ཡང་དག་བླངས་ཏེ་གནས་པར་གྱུར། །
"May we too before long
Become like that lord of gods!"
Then, in order to attain that [state],
They would immerse themselves in adopting virtue.
अद्यैव न चिरादेवं भवेमस्त्रिदशेश्वराः
कुशलं च समादाय वर्तेरंस्तदवाप्तये

IV.18
དེ་དག་དགེ་བའི་ལས་དེས་ནི། །
འདི་སྣང་ཙམ་ཞེས་དེ་ལྟ་བུར། །
ཤེས་པ་མེད་ཀྱང་ས་སྟེང་ནས། །
འཕོས་ཏེ་ལྷ་རུ་སྐྱེ་བར་འགྱུར། །
དེ་དག་དགེ་བའི་ལས་དེས་ནི། །
འདི་སྣང་ཙམ་ཞེས་དེ་ལྟ་བུར། །
ཤེས་པ་མེད་ཀྱང་ས་སྟེང་ནས། །
འཕོས་ཏེ་ལྷ་རུ་སྐྱེ་བར་འགྱུར། །
Though being unaware that this
Was merely an appearance, they would pass away
From the earth and be born in heaven
By virtue of their pure karma.

IV.19
སྣང་བ་དེ་ནི་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཡང་། །
རྟོག་པ་མེད་ཅིང་གཡོ་བ་མེད། །
དེ་ལྟ་མོད་ཀྱི་ས་སྟེང་ན། །
དོན་ཆེན་གྱིས་ནི་ཉེ་བར་གནས། །
སྣང་བ་དེ་ནི་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཡང་། །
རྟོག་པ་མེད་ཅིང་གཡོ་བ་མེད། །
དེ་ལྟ་མོད་ཀྱི་ས་སྟེང་ན། །
དོན་ཆེན་གྱིས་ནི་ཉེ་བར་གནས། །
Though this appearance would be absolutely
Without thought and without activity,
Its taking place on the earth in that way
Would nevertheless be of great benefit.
प्रतिभासः स चात्यन्तमविकल्पो निरीहकः
एवं च महतार्थेन भुवि स्यात्प्रत्युपस्थितः

IV.2
ཡོན་ཏན་རིན་ཆེན་མཆོག་ཚོགས་དང་ལྡན་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆུ་མཚོ་བསོད་ནམས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཉི་འོད་ཅན། །
ཐེག་པ་མ་ལུས་ངེས་པར་བསྒྲུབས་ཏེ་མཐའ་དང་དབུས་མེད་རྒྱ་ཆེན་ནམ་མཁའ་ལྟར་ཁྱབ་པ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད་ནི་ཡོན་ཏན་དྲི་མ་མེད་གཏེར་སེམས་ཅན་ཀུན་ལ་ཁྱད་མེད་རྣམ་གཟིགས་ནས། །
ཉོན་མོངས་ཤེས་བྱའི་སྤྲིན་གྱི་དྲ་བ་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་རླུང་གིས་རྣམ་པར་གཏོར། །
ཡོན་ཏན་རིན་ཆེན་མཆོག་ཚོགས་དང་ལྡན་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆུ་མཚོ་བསོད་ནམས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཉི་འོད་ཅན། །
ཐེག་པ་མ་ལུས་ངེས་པར་བསྒྲུབས་ཏེ་མཐའ་དང་དབུས་མེད་རྒྱ་ཆེན་ནམ་མཁའ་ལྟར་ཁྱབ་པ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད་ནི་ཡོན་ཏན་དྲི་མ་མེད་གཏེར་སེམས་ཅན་ཀུན་ལ་ཁྱད་མེད་རྣམ་གཟིགས་ནས། །
ཉོན་མོངས་ཤེས་བྱའི་སྤྲིན་གྱི་དྲ་བ་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་རླུང་གིས་རྣམ་པར་གཏོར། །
Having churned the entire [ocean-like mahā]yāna, which contains the jewels of the host of supreme qualities and the water of wisdom,
And having seen buddhahood, which is like the vast sky without middle and end pervaded by the sun rays of merit and wisdom,
[Existing] as a treasure of stainless qualities in all sentient beings without difference,
The wind-like compassion of the victors blows away the web of the clouds of afflictive and cognitive [obscurations].
कृत्स्नं निष्पाद्य यानं प्रवरगुणगणज्ञानरत्नस्वगर्भं
पुण्यज्ञानार्करश्मिप्रविसुतविपुलानन्तमध्याम्बराभम्
बुद्धत्वं सर्वसत्त्वे विमलगुणनिधिं निर्विशिष्टं विलोक्य
क्लेशज्ञेयाभ्रजालं विधमति करुणा वायुभूता जिनानाम्

IV.20
དེ་བཞིན་དད་སོགས་དྲི་མེད་ཅན། །
དད་སོགས་ཡོན་ཏན་བསྒོམ་པ་ཡི། །
རང་སེམས་ལ་སྣང་རྫོགས་སངས་རྒྱས། །
མཚན་དང་དཔེ་བྱད་ལྡན་པ་དང་། །
དེ་བཞིན་དད་སོགས་དྲི་མེད་ཅན། །
དད་སོགས་ཡོན་ཏན་བསྒོམ་པ་ཡི། །
རང་སེམས་ལ་སྣང་རྫོགས་སངས་རྒྱས། །
མཚན་དང་དཔེ་བྱད་ལྡན་པ་དང་། །
Likewise, sentient beings see in their own mind,
Once it is stainless through confidence and such
And has cultivated the qualities such as confidence,
The appearance of the perfect Buddha,
तथा श्रद्धादिविमले श्रद्धादिगुणभाविते
सत्त्वाः पश्यन्ति संबुद्धं प्रतिभास स्वचेतसि

IV.21
འཆག་པ་དང་ནི་བཞེངས་པ་དང་། །
བཞུགས་པ་དང་ནི་གཟིམས་པ་དང་། །
སྤྱོད་ལམ་སྣ་ཚོགས་མཛད་པ་ཅན། །
ཞི་བའི་ཆོས་ནི་གསུང་བ་དང་། །
འཆག་པ་དང་ནི་བཞེངས་པ་དང་། །
བཞུགས་པ་དང་ནི་གཟིམས་པ་དང་། །
སྤྱོད་ལམ་སྣ་ཚོགས་མཛད་པ་ཅན། །
ཞི་བའི་ཆོས་ནི་གསུང་བ་དང་། །
Who is endowed with the major and minor marks,
Performs the various forms of conduct
(Walking, standing,
Sitting, and lying),
लक्षणव्यञ्जनोपेतं विचित्रेर्यापथक्रियम्
चङ्क्रम्यमाणं तिष्ठन्तं निषण्णं शयनस्थितम्

IV.22
མི་གསུང་མཉམ་པར་བཞག་གྱུར་པ། །
ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་རྣམ་པ་སྣ་ཚོགས་དང་། །
མཛད་པ་གཟི་མདངས་ཆེན་པོ་ཅན། །
སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མཐོང་བར་འགྱུར། །
མི་གསུང་མཉམ་པར་བཞག་གྱུར་པ། །
ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་རྣམ་པ་སྣ་ཚོགས་དང་། །
མཛད་པ་གཟི་མདངས་ཆེན་པོ་ཅན། །
སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མཐོང་བར་འགྱུར། །
Speaks the dharma of peace,
Rests silently in meditative equipoise,
Demonstrates all kinds of miraculous displays,
And possesses great splendor.
भाषमाणं शिवं धर्म तूष्णींभूतं समाहितम्
चित्राणि प्रातिहार्याणि दर्शयन्तं महाद्युतिम्

IV.23
དེ་མཐོང་ནས་ཀྱང་འདོད་ལྡན་པ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད་ཅེས་རབ་སྦྱོར་ཏེ། །
དེ་རྒྱུ་ཡང་དག་བླངས་ནས་ནི། །
འདོད་པའི་གོ་འཕང་ཐོབ་པར་བྱེད། །
དེ་མཐོང་ནས་ཀྱང་འདོད་ལྡན་པ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད་ཅེས་རབ་སྦྱོར་ཏེ། །
དེ་རྒྱུ་ཡང་དག་བླངས་ནས་ནི། །
འདོད་པའི་གོ་འཕང་ཐོབ་པར་བྱེད། །
Having seen it, those who long for it
Devote their efforts to this buddhahood
And, through adopting its causes,
Attain the state they wish for.
तं च दृष्ट्वाभियुज्यन्ते बुद्धत्वाय स्पृहान्विताः
तद्धेतुं च समादाय प्राप्नुवन्तीप्सितं पदम्

IV.24
སྣང་བ་དེ་ནི་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཡང་། །
རྟོག་མེད་གཡོ་བ་མེད་པ་ཉིད། །

དོན་ཆེན་པོས་ནི་ཉེ་བར་གནས། །

དེ་དག་ལ་ནི་དོན་ཡོད་འགྱུར། །
འདི་ནི་རང་སེམས་སྣང་བ་ཞེས། །
སོ་སོའི་སྐྱེ་བོས་མི་ཤེས་མོད། །
དེ་ལྟ་ན་ཡང་གཟུགས་མཐོང་སྟེ། །
དེ་དག་ལ་ནི་དོན་ཡོད་འགྱུར། །
Ordinary beings do not understand
That this is an appearance in their own minds.
Nevertheless, to see this image
Becomes fruitful for them.
स्वचित्तप्रतिभासोऽयमिति नैवं पृथग्जनाः
जानन्त्यथ च तत्तेषामवन्ध्यं बिम्बदर्शनम्
