མི་ཟད་ཡོན་ཏན་དང་ལྡན་ཕྱིར། །
གཞན་འགྱུར་མིན་བདག་རྟག་པའི་དོན། །
མཐའ་ཡི་མུ་དང་མཚུངས་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
སྐྱབས་ཀྱི་བདག་ཉིད་བརྟན་པའི་དོན། །
མི་ཟད་ཡོན་ཏན་དང་ལྡན་ཕྱིར། །

The meaning of being permanent is its character of not changing into anything other
Because it has the quality of being inexhaustible.

The meaning of being peaceful is its true nature of nonduality

གང་ཕྱིར་དེ་ནི་ཆོས་སྐུ་དེ་ནི་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས། །
དེ་ནི་འཕགས་པའི་བདེན་པ་དོན་དམ་མྱ་ངན་འདས། །
དེ་ཕྱིར་ཉི་དང་ཟེར་བཞིན་ཡོན་ཏན་དབྱེར་མེད་པས། །
སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད་ལས་མ་གཏོགས་མྱ་ངན་འདས་པ་མེད། །
Since it is the dharmakāya, the Tathāgata,
The reality of the noble ones, and the ultimate nirvāṇa,
There is no nirvāṇa apart from buddhahood
Due to its qualities’ being inseparable, just like the sun and its rays.
स धर्मकायः स तथागतो यत-
स्तदार्यसत्यं परमार्थनिर्वृतिः
अतो न बुद्धत्वमृतेऽर्करश्मिवद्

法身及如來 聖諦與涅槃
功德不相離 如光不離日

མདོར་ན་ཟག་མེད་དབྱིངས་ལ་ནི། །
དོན་གྱི་རབ་ཏུ་དབྱེ་བ་བཞིས། །
ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཡི། །
རྣམ་གྲངས་བཞིར་ནི་རིག་པར་བྱ། །
མདོར་ན་ཟག་མེད་དབྱིངས་ལ་ནི། །
དོན་གྱི་རབ་ཏུ་དབྱེ་བ་བཞིས། །
ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཡི། །

In brief, one should know
The four synonyms such as the dharmakāya
For the uncontaminated basic element
Since it is classified as fourfold in meaning.
धर्मकायादिपर्याया वेदितव्याः समासतः
चत्वारोऽनास्रवे धातौ चतुरर्थप्रभेदतः
略明法身等 義一而名異
依無漏界中 四種義差別
I.86
སངས་རྒྱས་ཆོས་དབྱེར་མེད་པ་དང་། །
དེ་རིགས་དེ་བཞིན་ཐོབ་པ་དང་། །
བརྫུན་མེད་བསླུ་མེད་ཆོས་ཉིད་དང་། །
གདོད་ནས་རང་བཞིན་ཞི་ཉིད་དོ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་ཆོས་དབྱེར་མེད་པ་དང་། །
དེ་རིགས་དེ་བཞིན་ཐོབ་པ་དང་། །
བརྫུན་མེད་བསླུ་མེད་ཆོས་ཉིད་དང་། །
གདོད་ནས་རང་བཞིན་ཞི་ཉིད་དོ། །
[They] are the inseparability of the buddha attributes,
The disposition for that having been obtained just as it is,
Its true nature’s being without falsity and deception,
And its being natural primordial peace.
बुद्धधर्माविनिर्भागस्तद्गोत्रस्य तथागमः
अमृषामोषधर्मित्वमादिप्रकृतिशान्तता
佛法不相離 及彼真如性
法體不虛妄 自性本來淨
I.87
རྣམ་ཀུན་མངོན་རྫོགས་བྱང་ཆུབ་དང་། །
དྲི་མ་བག་ཆགས་བཅས་སྤངས་པ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་མྱ་ངན་འདས་པ་ནི། །
དམ་པའི་དོན་དུ་གཉིས་མེད་ཉིད། །
རྣམ་ཀུན་མངོན་རྫོགས་བྱང་ཆུབ་དང་། །
དྲི་མ་བག་ཆགས་བཅས་སྤངས་པ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་མྱ་ངན་འདས་པ་ནི། །
དམ་པའི་དོན་དུ་གཉིས་མེད་ཉིད། །
Being the fully perfect awakening in all aspects
And the removal of [all] stains and their latent tendencies,
Buddhahood and nirvāṇa
Ultimately are not two.
सर्वाकाराभिसंबोधिः सवासनमल्लोद्धृतिः
बुद्धत्वमथ निर्वाणमद्वयं परमार्थतः
覺一切種智 離一切習氣
佛及涅槃體 不離第一義
I.87.1
རྣམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་གྲངས་མེད་པ། །
བསམ་མེད་དྲི་མེད་ཡོན་ཏན་དང་། །
དབྱེར་མེད་མཚན་ཉིད་ཐར་པ་སྟེ། །
ཐར་པ་གང་དེ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས། །
རྣམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་གྲངས་མེད་པ། །
བསམ་མེད་དྲི་མེད་ཡོན་ཏན་དང་། །
དབྱེར་མེད་མཚན་ཉིད་ཐར་པ་སྟེ། །
ཐར་པ་གང་དེ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས། །
Liberation has the characteristic of being inseparable
From its qualities, which are of all kinds,
Innumerable, inconceivable, and stainless.
What is this liberation is the Tathāgata.
सर्वाकारैरसंख्येयैरचिन्त्यैरमलैर्गुणैः
अभिन्नलक्षणो मोक्षो यो मोक्षः स तथागत इति

ཇི་ལྟར་རི་མོ་འདྲི་བྱེད་པ། །
གཞན་དང་གཞན་ལ་མཁས་པ་དག །

དེ་གཞན་ངེས་ཟིན་མེད་པར་འགྱུར། །
ཇི་ལྟར་རི་མོ་འདྲི་བྱེད་པ། །
གཞན་དང་གཞན་ལ་མཁས་པ་དག །
གང་ཞིག་ཡན་ལག་གང་ཤེས་པ། །
དེ་གཞན་ངེས་ཟིན་མེད་པར་འགྱུར། །
Suppose there were some painters,
[Each] an expert in a different [body part],
So that whatever part is known by one of them
Would not be understood by any other one.
अन्योन्यकुशला यद्वद्भवेयुश्चित्रलेखकाः
यो यदङ्गं प्रजानीयात्तदन्यो नावधारयेत्
如種種畫師 所知各差別
彼一人知分 第二人不知
I.89
དེ་ནས་འདི་ལ་ཁྱེད་ཀུན་གྱིས། །
ང་ཡི་གཟུགས་ནི་གྱིས་ཤིག་ཅེས། །
མངའ་བདག་རྒྱལ་པོས་དེ་དག་ལ། །
བཀའ་ཡིས་རས་ནི་བྱིན་པ་དང་།
དེ་ནས་འདི་ལ་ཁྱེད་ཀུན་གྱིས། །
ང་ཡི་གཟུགས་ནི་གྱིས་ཤིག་ཅེས། །
མངའ་བདག་རྒྱལ་པོས་དེ་དག་ལ། །
བཀའ་ཡིས་རས་ནི་བྱིན་པ་དང་།
Then a mighty king would hand
Them a canvas and order,
"All of you, on this [canvas]
Paint my portrait!"

सर्वैरेवात्र युष्माभिः कार्या प्रतिकृतिर्मम

དྲི་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་འོད་ཟེར་སྣང་ལྡན་དམིགས་པ་ཀུན་ལ་ཆགས་པ་དང་། །
སྡང་དང་རབ་རིབ་རྣམ་པར་འཇོམས་མཛད་དམ་ཆོས་ཉི་མ་དེ་ལ་འདུད། །
གང་ཞིག་མེད་མིན་ཡོད་མིན་ཡོད་མེད་མ་ཡིན་ཡོད་མེད་ལས་གཞན་དུའང་། །
བརྟག་པར་མི་ནུས་ངེས་ཚིག་དང་བྲལ་སོ་སོ་རང་གིས་རིག་ཞི་བ། །
དྲི་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་འོད་ཟེར་སྣང་ལྡན་དམིགས་པ་ཀུན་ལ་ཆགས་པ་དང་། །
སྡང་དང་རབ་རིབ་རྣམ་པར་འཇོམས་མཛད་དམ་ཆོས་ཉི་མ་དེ་ལ་འདུད། །
Inscrutable as neither nonexistent nor existent nor [both] existent and nonexistent nor other than existent and nonexistent,
Free from etymological interpretation, to be personally experienced, and peaceful—
I pay homage to this sun of the dharma, which shines the light of stainless wisdom
And defeats passion, aggression, and [mental] darkness with regard to all focal objects.
यो नासन्न च सन्न चापि सदसन्नान्यः सतो नासतो
ऽसक्यस्तर्कयितुं निरुक्त्यपगतः प्रत्यात्मवेद्यः शिवः
तस्मै धर्मदिवाकराय विमलज्ञानावभासत्विषे
सर्वारम्वण रागदोषतिमिरव्याघातकर्त्रे नमः
非有亦非無 亦復非有無
亦非即於彼 亦復不離彼
不可得思量 非聞慧境界
出離言語道 內心知清涼
彼真妙法日 清淨無塵垢
大智慧光明 普照諸世間
能破諸曀障 覺觀貪瞋癡
一切煩惱等 故我今敬禮
I.90
དེ་ལས་དེ་ནི་ཐོས་གྱུར་ཏེ། །
རི་མོའི་ལས་ལ་རབ་སྦྱོར་རོ། །
དེ་ལ་མངོན་པར་སྦྱོར་རྣམས་ལ། །
གཅིག་གཅིག་ཡུལ་གཞན་སོང་གྱུར་པ། །
དེ་ལས་དེ་ནི་ཐོས་གྱུར་ཏེ། །
རི་མོའི་ལས་ལ་རབ་སྦྱོར་རོ། །
དེ་ལ་མངོན་པར་སྦྱོར་རྣམས་ལ། །
གཅིག་གཅིག་ཡུལ་གཞན་སོང་གྱུར་པ། །
Having agreed to his [order],
They would start their painting work,
[But] then one among these dedicated workers
Would leave for another country.
ततस्तस्य प्रतिश्रुत्य युञ्जेरंश्चित्रकर्मणि
तत्रैको व्यभियुक्तानामन्यदेशगतो भवेत्
國中諸畫師 一切皆下手
若不闕一人 乃成國王像
I.91
དེ་ནི་ཡུལ་གཞན་སོང་བས་ན། །
དེ་མ་ཚང་ཕྱིར་རི་མོ་དེ། །
ཡན་ལག་ཐམས་ཅད་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་པར། །
མི་འགྱུར་བཞིན་ཤེས་དཔེར་བྱས་སོ། །
དེ་ནི་ཡུལ་གཞན་སོང་བས་ན། །
དེ་མ་ཚང་ཕྱིར་རི་མོ་དེ། །
ཡན་ལག་ཐམས་ཅད་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་པར། །
མི་འགྱུར་བཞིན་ཤེས་དཔེར་བྱས་སོ། །
With him gone to another country,
Due to his absence, the painting
Would not be completed in all its parts—
Such is the example that is given.
देशान्तरगते तस्मिन् प्रतिमा तद्वियोगतः
न सा सर्वाङ्गसंपूर्णा भवेदित्युपमा कृता
由無彼一人 國王像不成
以其不滿足 一切身分故
I.92
དེ་རྣམས་འདྲི་བྱེད་གང་ཡིན་པ། །
སྦྱིན་དང་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་བཟོད་ལ་སོགས། །
རྣམ་པ་ཀུན་གྱི་མཆོག་ལྡན་པའི། །
སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ནི་གཟུགས་སུ་བརྗོད། །
དེ་རྣམས་འདྲི་བྱེད་གང་ཡིན་པ། །
སྦྱིན་དང་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་བཟོད་ལ་སོགས། །
རྣམ་པ་ཀུན་གྱི་མཆོག་ལྡན་པའི། །
སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ནི་གཟུགས་སུ་བརྗོད། །
The painters that appear in such a way
Are said to be generosity, discipline, patience, and so on,
While the emptiness endowed with
All supreme aspects is the painting.
लेखका ये तदाकारा दानशीलक्षमादयः
सर्वाकारवरोपेता शून्यता प्रतिमोच्यते
所言畫師者 喻檀戒等行
言國王像者 示一切種智
一人不在者 示現少一行
王像不成者 空智不具足
I.93
ཤེས་རབ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྣམ་གྲོལ་རྣམས། །
གསལ་དང་འཕྲོ་དང་དག་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
ཐ་དད་མེད་ཕྱིར་འོད་དང་ཟེར། །
ཉི་མའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་རྣམས་དང་མཚུངས། །
ཤེས་རབ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྣམ་གྲོལ་རྣམས། །
གསལ་དང་འཕྲོ་དང་དག་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
ཐ་དད་མེད་ཕྱིར་འོད་དང་ཟེར། །
ཉི་མའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་རྣམས་དང་མཚུངས། །
Since prajñā, wisdom, and liberation
Are illuminating, pervasive, pure,
And not different, they resemble
The light, the rays, and the orb of the sun.
प्रज्ञाज्ञानविमुक्तीनां दीप्तिस्फरणशुद्धितः
अभेदतश्च साधर्म्यं प्रभारश्म्यर्कमण्डलैः
慧智及解脫 不離法界體
無差涅槃界 日相似相對
I.94
དེས་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་མ་ཐོབ་པར། །
མྱ་ངན་འདས་པ་མི་ཐོབ་སྟེ། །
འོད་དང་འོད་ཟེར་སྤངས་ནས་ནི། །
ཉི་མ་ལྟ་བར་མི་ནུས་བཞིན། །
དེས་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་མ་ཐོབ་པར། །
མྱ་ངན་འདས་པ་མི་ཐོབ་སྟེ། །
འོད་དང་འོད་ཟེར་སྤངས་ནས་ནི། །
ཉི་མ་ལྟ་བར་མི་ནུས་བཞིན། །
Therefore, without attaining buddhahood,
Nirvāṇa is not attained,
Just as it is impossible to see the sun
After its light and its rays are removed.
अतोऽनागम्य बुद्धत्वं निर्वाणं नाधिगम्यते
न हि शक्यः प्रभारश्मी निर्वृज्य प्रेक्षितुं रविः
不證諸佛身 涅槃不可得
如棄捨光明 日不可得見

དེ་ལྟར་རྒྱལ་བའི་སྙིང་པོ་ནི། །
རྣམ་གཞག་རྣམ་པ་བཅུ་ཞེས་བརྗོད། །
ཉོན་མོངས་སྦུབས་ནང་གནས་པ་དེ། །
དཔེ་དག་གིས་ནི་ཤེས་པར་བྱ། །
དེ་ལྟར་རྒྱལ་བའི་སྙིང་པོ་ནི། །
རྣམ་གཞག་རྣམ་པ་བཅུ་ཞེས་བརྗོད། །
ཉོན་མོངས་སྦུབས་ནང་གནས་པ་དེ། །
དཔེ་དག་གིས་ནི་ཤེས་པར་བྱ། །
The presentation of the heart of the victors
Has been discussed in this way in ten aspects.
Now, its being enclosed by the cocoon of the afflictions
Should be understood through examples.

तत्क्लेशकोशगर्भत्वं पुनर्ज्ञेयं निदर्शनैः

སངས་རྒྱས་པད་ངན་སྦྲང་རྩི་སྦྲང་མ་ལ། །
སྦུན་ལ་སྙིང་པོ་མི་གཙང་ནང་ན་གསེར། །
ས་ལ་གཏེར་དང་སྨྱུག་སོགས་འབྲས་ཆུང་དང་། །
གོས་ཧྲུལ་ནང་ན་རྒྱལ་བའི་སྐུ་དང་ནི། །
སངས་རྒྱས་པད་ངན་སྦྲང་རྩི་སྦྲང་མ་ལ། །
སྦུན་ལ་སྙིང་པོ་མི་གཙང་ནང་ན་གསེར། །
ས་ལ་གཏེར་དང་སྨྱུག་སོགས་འབྲས་ཆུང་དང་། །

A buddha in a decaying lotus, honey amid bees,
Kernels in their husks, gold in filth,
A treasure in the earth, a sprout and so on from a small fruit,
An image of the victor in a tattered garment,
बुद्धः कुपद्मे मधु मक्षिकासु
तुषेसु साराण्य शुचौ सुवर्णम्।
निधिः क्षितावल्पफलेऽङ्कुरादि
प्रक्लिन्नवस्त्रेषु जिनात्मभावः
萎華中諸佛 眾蜂中美蜜
皮糩等中實 糞穢中真金
地中珍寶藏 諸果子中芽
朽故弊壞衣 纏裹真金像

བུད་མེད་ངན་མའི་ལྟོ་ན་མི་བདག་དང་། །
ས་ལ་རིན་ཆེན་གཟུགས་ཡོད་ཇི་ལྟ་བར། །
གློ་བུར་ཉོན་མོངས་དྲི་མས་བསྒྲིབས་པ་ཡི། །
སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་དེ་བཞིན་ཁམས་འདི་གནས། །
བུད་མེད་ངན་མའི་ལྟོ་ན་མི་བདག་དང་། །
ས་ལ་རིན་ཆེན་གཟུགས་ཡོད་ཇི་ལྟ་བར། །
གློ་བུར་ཉོན་མོངས་དྲི་མས་བསྒྲིབས་པ་ཡི། །
སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་དེ་བཞིན་ཁམས་འདི་གནས། །
Royalty in the womb of a destitute woman,
And a precious statue in clay—just as these exist,
This basic element dwells in sentient beings
Obscured by the adventitious stains of the afflictions.
जघन्यनारीजठरे नृपत्वं
यथा भवेन्मृत्सु च रत्नबिम्बम्।
आगन्तुकक्लेशमलावृतेषु
सत्त्वेषु तद्वत् स्थित एष धातुः
貧賤醜陋女 懷轉輪聖王
焦黑泥模中 有上妙寶像
眾生貪瞋癡 妄想煩惱等
塵勞諸垢中 皆有如來藏
I.98
དྲི་མ་པདྨ་སྲོག་ཆགས་སྦུན་པ་མི་གཙང་ས་འབྲས་གོས་ཧྲུལ་དང་། །
སྡུག་བསྔལ་འབར་བས་མངོན་པར་གདུངས་པའི་བུད་མེད་ས་ཡི་ཁམས་དང་མཚུངས། །
སངས་རྒྱས་སྦྲང་རྩི་སྙིང་པོ་གསེར་དང་གཏེར་དང་ནྱ་གྲོ་རིན་ཆེན་སྐུ། །
གླིང་བདག་མཆོག་དང་རིན་ཆེན་གཟུགས་དང་དྲི་མེད་ཁམས་མཆོག་མཚུངས་པ་ཉིད། །
དྲི་མ་པདྨ་སྲོག་ཆགས་སྦུན་པ་མི་གཙང་ས་འབྲས་གོས་ཧྲུལ་དང་། །
སྡུག་བསྔལ་འབར་བས་མངོན་པར་གདུངས་པའི་བུད་མེད་ས་ཡི་ཁམས་དང་མཚུངས། །
སངས་རྒྱས་སྦྲང་རྩི་སྙིང་པོ་གསེར་དང་གཏེར་དང་ནྱ་གྲོ་རིན་ཆེན་སྐུ། །
གླིང་བདག་མཆོག་དང་རིན་ཆེན་གཟུགས་དང་དྲི་མེད་ཁམས་མཆོག་མཚུངས་པ་ཉིད། །
The stains resemble the lotus, the insects, the husks, the filth, the earth, the peel of a fruit,
The foul-smelling garment, the body of a lowly woman, and the element of earth heated in a fire.
The supreme basic element has the stainless appearance of the buddha, the honey, the kernels, the gold, the treasure,
The nyagrodha tree, the precious image, the supreme lord of the world, and the precious statue.
पद्मप्राणितुषाशु चिक्षितिफलत्वक्पूतिवस्त्रावर-
स्त्रीदुःखज्वलनाभितप्तपृथिवीधातुप्रकाशा मलाः
बुद्धक्षौद्रसुसारकाञ्चननिधिन्यग्रोधरत्नाकृति-
द्विपाग्राधिपरत्नबिम्बविमलप्रख्यः स धातुः परः
華蜂糩糞穢 地果故壞衣
貧賤女泥模 煩惱垢相似
佛蜜實真金 寶牙金像王
上妙寶像等 如來藏相似

ཇི་ལྟར་མདོག་ངན་པད་མའི་ཁོང་གནས་པ། །
མཚན་སྟོང་གིས་འབར་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ནི། །
དྲི་མེད་ལྷ་ཡི་མིག་ལྡན་མིས་མཐོང་ནས། །
ཆུ་སྐྱེས་འདབ་མའི་སྦུབས་ནས་འབྱིན་བྱེད་པ། །
ཇི་ལྟར་མདོག་ངན་པད་མའི་ཁོང་གནས་པ། །

དྲི་མེད་ལྷ་ཡི་མིག་ལྡན་མིས་མཐོང་ནས། །
ཆུ་སྐྱེས་འདབ་མའི་སྦུབས་ནས་འབྱིན་བྱེད་པ། །
Suppose a man with the stainless divine eye were to see
A tathāgata shining with a thousand marks,
Dwelling enclosed in a fading lotus,
And thus would free him from the sheath of the lotus petals.
यथा विवर्णाम्बुजगर्भवेष्टितं
तथागतं दीप्तसहस्रलक्षणम्
नरः समीक्ष्यामलदिव्यलोचनो
विमोचयेदम्बुजपत्त्रकोशतः
功德莊嚴佛 住於萎華中
淨天眼者見 去花顯諸佛
II.1
དག་ཐོབ་བྲལ་བ་རང་བཞིན་དོན། །
དེ་བརྟེན་ཟབ་དང་རྒྱ་ཆེ་དང་། །
བདག་ཉིད་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ཡང་ནི། །
ཇི་སྲིད་དུས་དང་ཇི་ལྟ་ཉིད། །
དག་ཐོབ་བྲལ་བ་རང་བཞིན་དོན། །
དེ་བརྟེན་ཟབ་དང་རྒྱ་ཆེ་དང་། །
བདག་ཉིད་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ཡང་ནི། །
ཇི་སྲིད་དུས་དང་ཇི་ལྟ་ཉིད། །
[Buddhahood] is purity, attainment, freedom,
One’s own welfare and that of others, the foundation of this,
And profundity, vastness, and magnanimity
For as long as time lasts and in accordance [with beings].
शुद्धिः प्राप्तिर्विसंयोगः स्वपरार्थस्तदाश्रयः
गम्भीर्यौदार्यमाहात्म्यं यावत्कालं यथा च तत्

II.10
ཆུ་མཚོ་སོགས་བཞིན་འདོད་ཆགས་སོགས། །
གློ་བུར་ཉོན་མོངས་དག་པ་ནི། །
མདོར་ན་མི་རྟོག་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི། །
འབྲས་བུ་ཡིན་པར་རབ་ཏུ་བརྗོད། །
ཆུ་མཚོ་སོགས་བཞིན་འདོད་ཆགས་སོགས། །
གློ་བུར་ཉོན་མོངས་དག་པ་ནི། །
མདོར་ན་མི་རྟོག་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི། །
འབྲས་བུ་ཡིན་པར་རབ་ཏུ་བརྗོད། །
The purity of the adventitious afflictions, such as desire,
Which is like the water in a pond and so on,
In brief, is said to be the fruition
Of nonconceptual wisdom.
रागाद्यागन्तुकक्लेशशुद्धिरम्बुह्रदादिवत्
ज्ञानस्य निर्विकल्पस्य फलमुक्तं समासतः

II.11
རྣམ་པ་ཀུན་གྱི་མཆོག་ལྡན་པའི། །
སངས་རྒྱས་སྐུ་ནི་ངེས་ཐོབ་པ། །
དེ་ནི་རྗེས་ལས་ཐོབ་པ་ཡི། །
ཡེ་ཤེས་འབྲས་བུ་ཡིན་པར་སྟོན། །
རྣམ་པ་ཀུན་གྱི་མཆོག་ལྡན་པའི། །
སངས་རྒྱས་སྐུ་ནི་ངེས་ཐོབ་པ། །
དེ་ནི་རྗེས་ལས་ཐོབ་པ་ཡི། །
ཡེ་ཤེས་འབྲས་བུ་ཡིན་པར་སྟོན། །
The seeing of the buddha state
That is endowed with all supreme aspects
Is explained to be the fruition of the wisdom
That is attained subsequent to that.

འདོད་ཆགས་རྡུལ་ནི་སྤང་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
གདུལ་བྱ་ཡི་ནི་པདྨ་ལ། །
བསམ་གཏན་ཆུ་ནི་འབབ་ཕྱིར་དེ། །
ཆུ་དག་རྫིང་དང་མཚུངས་པ་ཉིད། །
འདོད་ཆགས་རྡུལ་ནི་སྤང་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
གདུལ་བྱ་ཡི་ནི་པདྨ་ལ། །
བསམ་གཏན་ཆུ་ནི་འབབ་ཕྱིར་དེ། །

[Buddhahood] is like a pond with very clear water
Because it has eliminated the turbidity of the silt of desire
And because it sprinkles the water of dhyāna

विनेयाम्बुरुहध्यानवार्यभिष्यन्दनाच्च तत्

ཞེ་སྡང་སྒྲ་གཅན་ལས་གྲོལ་བས། །
སྙིང་རྗེ་བྱམས་ཆེན་འོད་ཟེར་གྱིས། །
འགྲོ་བ་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་ན་དེ། །
དྲི་མེད་ཟླ་བ་ཉ་བ་བཞིན། །
ཞེ་སྡང་སྒྲ་གཅན་ལས་གྲོལ་བས། །
སྙིང་རྗེ་བྱམས་ཆེན་འོད་ཟེར་གྱིས། །
འགྲོ་བ་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་ན་དེ། །

It resembles the stainless full moon
Because it has been released from Rāhu-like hatred
And because it pervades the world
With its rays of great love and compassion.
द्वेषराहुप्रमुक्तत्वा न्महामैत्रीकृपांशुभिः
जगत्स्फरणतः पूर्णविमलेन्दूपमं च तत्

གཏི་མུག་སྤྲིན་ལས་རྣམ་གྲོལ་བ། །
འགྲོ་བར་ཡེ་ཤེས་འོད་ཟེར་གྱིས། །
མུན་པ་སེལ་ཕྱིར་སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད། །
དེ་ནི་དྲི་མེད་ཉི་མ་བཞིན། །
གཏི་མུག་སྤྲིན་ལས་རྣམ་གྲོལ་བ། །
འགྲོ་བར་ཡེ་ཤེས་འོད་ཟེར་གྱིས། །
མུན་པ་སེལ་ཕྱིར་སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད། །
དེ་ནི་དྲི་མེད་ཉི་མ་བཞིན། །
This buddhahood is similar to the sun without stains
Because it is liberated from the clouds of ignorance
And because it dispels the darkness
In the world with its rays of wisdom.

तमोविधमनात्तच्च बुद्धत्वममलार्कवत्

II.15
མི་མཉམ་མཉམ་པའི་ཆོས་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
དམ་ཆོས་རོ་ནི་སྦྱིན་མཛད་དང་། །
ཤུན་པ་དང་ནི་བྲལ་ཕྱིར་དེ། །
བདེ་གཤེགས་སྦྲང་རྩི་སྙིང་པོ་བཞིན། །
མི་མཉམ་མཉམ་པའི་ཆོས་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
དམ་ཆོས་རོ་ནི་སྦྱིན་མཛད་དང་། །
ཤུན་པ་དང་ནི་བྲལ་ཕྱིར་དེ། །
བདེ་གཤེགས་སྦྲང་རྩི་སྙིང་པོ་བཞིན། །
Because it has the nature of being equal to the unequaled,
Because it bestows the taste of the genuine dharma,
And because it is free from what is useless,
It is like the Sugata, honey, and a kernel.
अतुल्यतुल्यधर्मत्वात् सद्धर्मरसदानतः
फल्गुव्यपगमात्तच्च सुगतक्षौद्रसारवत्

དག་ཕྱིར་ཡོན་ཏན་རྫས་ཀྱིས་ནི། །
དབུལ་བ་སེལ་བར་བྱེད་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
རྣམ་གྲོལ་འབྲས་བུ་འབྱིན་བྱེད་ཕྱིར། །
གསེར་དང་གཏེར་དང་ལྗོན་པ་བཞིན། །
དག་ཕྱིར་ཡོན་ཏན་རྫས་ཀྱིས་ནི། །
དབུལ་བ་སེལ་བར་བྱེད་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
རྣམ་གྲོལ་འབྲས་བུ་འབྱིན་བྱེད་ཕྱིར། །
གསེར་དང་གཏེར་དང་ལྗོན་པ་བཞིན། །
Because it is pure, because it has ended poverty
By virtue of its substance’s consisting of qualities,
And because it grants the fruit of liberation,
It is like gold, a treasure, and a tree.
पवित्रत्वाद्गुणद्रव्यदारिद्रयविनिवर्तनात्
विमुक्तिफलदानाच्च सुवर्णनिधिवृक्षवत्

རིན་ཆེན་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
རྐང་གཉིས་བདག་པོའི་མཆོག་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
རིན་ཆེན་གཟུགས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
དེ་ནི་རིན་ཆེན་རྒྱལ་གསེར་བཞིན། །
རིན་ཆེན་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
རྐང་གཉིས་བདག་པོའི་མཆོག་ཕྱིར་དང་། །
རིན་ཆེན་གཟུགས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
དེ་ནི་རིན་ཆེན་རྒྱལ་གསེར་བཞིན། །
Because its body consists of the jewel of the dharma,
Because it is the supreme lord of human beings,
And because it has the appearance of a precious form,
It is like a precious [representation], a king, and an image.
धर्मरत्नात्मभावत्वाद् द्विपदाग्राधिपत्यतः
रूपरत्नाकृतित्वाच्च तद्रत्ननृप बिम्बवत्

ཟག་པ་མེད་ཁྱབ་འཇིག་མེད་ཆོས་ཅན་ཏེ། །

དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་མཁའ་བཞིན་དག་པ་ཡི། །
དབང་པོ་དྲུག་དོན་ཉམས་སུ་མྱོང་བའི་རྒྱུ། །
ཟག་པ་མེད་ཁྱབ་འཇིག་མེད་ཆོས་ཅན་ཏེ། །
བརྟན་ཞི་རྟག་པ་འཕོ་མེད་གནས་ཡིན་ནོ། །
དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་མཁའ་བཞིན་དག་པ་ཡི། །
དབང་པོ་དྲུག་དོན་ཉམས་སུ་མྱོང་བའི་རྒྱུ། །
Being the uncontaminated all-pervasive matrix of indestructible nature
That is everlasting, peaceful, eternal, and imperishable,
Tathāgatahood, just as space, is the cause
For the wise experiencing the objects of the six sense faculties.
अनास्रवं व्याप्यविनाशधर्मि च
ध्रुवं शिवं शाश्वतमच्युतं पदम्
तथागतत्वं गगनोपमं सताम्
षडिन्दियार्थानुभवेषु कारणम्

འབྱུང་མེད་གཟུགས་དོན་བལྟ་དང་གཏམ་བཟང་ནི། །
གཙང་མ་མཉན་དང་བདེ་གཤེགས་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་ཀྱི། །
དྲི་གཙང་སྣོམ་དང་འཕགས་ཆེན་དམ་ཆོས་རོ། །
མྱང་དང་ཏིང་འཛིན་རེག་བདེ་ཉམས་མྱོང་དང་།
འབྱུང་མེད་གཟུགས་དོན་བལྟ་དང་གཏམ་བཟང་ནི། །
གཙང་མ་མཉན་དང་བདེ་གཤེགས་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་ཀྱི། །
དྲི་གཙང་སྣོམ་དང་འཕགས་ཆེན་དམ་ཆོས་རོ། །
མྱང་དང་ཏིང་འཛིན་རེག་བདེ་ཉམས་མྱོང་དང་།
[Though] always serving as the cause for his powerful form and objects
Being seen, for his perfect and pure discourses’ being heard,
For the pure discipline of the tathāgatas being smelled,
For the supreme flavor of the great and noble genuine dharma’s being tasted,
विभूतिरूपार्थविदर्शने सदा
निमित्तभूतं सुकथाशुचिश्रवे
तथागतानां शुचिशीलजिघ्रणे
महार्यसद्धर्मरसाग्रविन्दने

ངོ་བོ་རྒྱུ་དང་འབྲས་བུ་དང་། །
ལས་དང་ལྡན་ལ་འཇུག་པ་དང་། །

སངས་རྒྱས་ས་ནི་མཉམ་པར་གཞག །
ངོ་བོ་རྒྱུ་དང་འབྲས་བུ་དང་། །

རང་གི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཟབ་པའི་ཚུལ། །

དོན་དམ་བདེ་མཛད་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ནི། །
ནམ་མཁའ་བཞིན་དུ་རྒྱུ་མཚན་རྣམས་དང་བྲལ། །
རང་གི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཟབ་པའི་ཚུལ། །
རྟོགས་པའི་རྒྱུར་གྱུར་ཞིབ་མོར་བསམས་པ་ན། །
དོན་དམ་བདེ་མཛད་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ནི། །
ནམ་མཁའ་བཞིན་དུ་རྒྱུ་མཚན་རྣམས་དང་བྲལ། །
For the pleasurable touch of samādhi’s being relished,
And for the principle that is profound by nature being realized,
The Tathāgata, being the ultimate depth of very subtle thinking,
Is free from [being] a cause, just as space.
समाधिसंस्पर्शसुखानुभूतिषु
स्वभावगाम्भीर्यनयावबोधने
सुसूक्ष्मचिन्तापरमार्थगव्हरं
तथागतव्योम निमित्तवर्जितम्

མདོར་ན་ཡེ་ཤེས་གཉིས་པོ་ཡི། །
ལས་སུ་འདི་ནི་ཤེས་བྱ་སྟེ། །
གྲོལ་བའི་སྐུ་ནི་རྫོགས་པ་དང་། །
ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ནི་སྦྱོང་བའོ། །
མདོར་ན་ཡེ་ཤེས་གཉིས་པོ་ཡི། །

In brief, the function of the two wisdoms
Is to be understood as this—
The perfection of the [vi]muktikāya
And the purification of the dharmakāya.
कर्म ज्ञानद्वयस्यतद्वेदितव्यं समासतः
पूरणं मुक्तिकायस्य धर्मकायस्य शोधनम्

རྣམ་གྲོལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་དག་ནི། །
རྣམ་གཉིས་རྣམ་གཅིག་ཤེས་བྱ་སྟེ། །
ཟག་པ་མེད་ཕྱིར་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
འདུས་མ་བྱས་ཕྱིར་གནས་ཉིད་ཕྱིར། །
རྣམ་གྲོལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་དག་ནི། །
རྣམ་གཉིས་རྣམ་གཅིག་ཤེས་བྱ་སྟེ། །
ཟག་པ་མེད་ཕྱིར་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
འདུས་མ་བྱས་ཕྱིར་གནས་ཉིད་ཕྱིར། །
The vimukti[kāya] and the dharmakāya
Are to be understood in two ways[425] and in one way—
As being uncontaminated, as being all-pervasive,
And as being the unconditioned matrix.
विमुक्तिधर्मकायौ च वेदितव्यौ द्विरेकधा
अनास्रवत्वाद्व्यापित्वादसंस्कृतपदत्वतः

ཉོན་མོངས་རྣམས་ནི་བག་ཆགས་དང་། །
བཅས་པ་འགགས་ཕྱིར་ཟག་མེད་དེ། །
ཆགས་མེད་ཐོགས་པ་མེད་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
ཡེ་ཤེས་ཁྱབ་པ་ཉིད་དུ་འདོད། །
ཉོན་མོངས་རྣམས་ནི་བག་ཆགས་དང་། །
བཅས་པ་འགགས་ཕྱིར་ཟག་མེད་དེ། །
ཆགས་མེད་ཐོགས་པ་མེད་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
ཡེ་ཤེས་ཁྱབ་པ་ཉིད་དུ་འདོད། །
[The vimuktikāya] is uncontaminated because of the cessation
Of the afflictions together with their latent tendencies.
Wisdom is held to be all-pervasive
Because it is without attachment and without obstruction.
अनास्रवत्वं क्लेशानां सवासननि रोधतः
असङ्गाप्रतिघातत्वाज्ज्ञानस्य व्यापिता मता

གཏན་དུ་འཇིག་པ་མེད་པ་ཡི། །
རང་བཞིན་ཡིན་ཕྱིར་འདུས་མ་བྱས། །
འཇིག་མེད་ཉིད་ནི་བསྟན་པ་སྟེ། །
བརྟན་སོགས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དེ་བཤད་དོ། །
གཏན་དུ་འཇིག་པ་མེད་པ་ཡི། །
རང་བཞིན་ཡིན་ཕྱིར་འདུས་མ་བྱས། །
འཇིག་མེད་ཉིད་ནི་བསྟན་པ་སྟེ། །
བརྟན་སོགས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དེ་བཤད་དོ། །
Being unconditioned is due to having
The nature of being absolutely indestructible.
This character of indestructibility is the brief statement
That is explained by "everlasting" and so on.
असंस्कृतत्वमत्यन्तमविनाशस्वभावतः
अविनाशित्वमुद्देशस्तन्निर्देशो ध्रुवादिभिः

འཇིག་པ་རྣམ་བཞིར་ཤེས་བྱ་སྟེ། །
བརྟན་སོགས་དག་ལས་བཟློག་ཕྱིར་རོ། །
མྱགས་དང་རྣམ་འགྱུར་ཆད་པ་དང་། །
བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ་འགྱུར་འཕོ་བ་སྟེ། །
འཇིག་པ་རྣམ་བཞིར་ཤེས་བྱ་སྟེ། །
བརྟན་སོགས་དག་ལས་བཟློག་ཕྱིར་རོ། །
མྱགས་དང་རྣམ་འགྱུར་ཆད་པ་དང་། །

Destructibility is to be understood as four kinds
By virtue of the opposites of "everlasting" and so on,
Which are putridity, sickness, extinction,
And death in an inconceivable manner.
नाशश्चतुर्विधो ज्ञेयो ध्रुवत्वादिविपर्ययात्
पूर्तिर्विकृतिरुच्छित्तिरचिन्त्यनमनच्युतिः

དེ་མེད་ཕྱིར་ན་བརྟན་ཞི་དང་། །
རྟག་དང་འཕོ་མེད་ཤེས་པར་བྱ། །

ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྟེན་ཡིན་ཕྱིར་ན་གནས། །

Since it lacks these, it is to be understood as
Everlasting, peaceful, eternal, and imperishable.
This stainless wisdom is the matrix
Because it is the foundation of [all] pure attributes.
तदभावाद्ध्रुवं ज्ञेयं शिवं शाश्वतमच्युतम्
पदं तदमलज्ञानं शुक्लधर्मास्पदत्वतः

ཇི་ལྟར་རྒྱུ་མིན་ནམ་མཁའ་ནི། །
གཟུགས་མཐོང་བ་དང་སྒྲ་དང་དྲི། །

ཐོས་ལ་སོགས་པའི་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་ལྟར། །
ཇི་ལྟར་རྒྱུ་མིན་ནམ་མཁའ་ནི། །
གཟུགས་མཐོང་བ་དང་སྒྲ་དང་དྲི། །
རོ་དང་རེག་དང་ཆོས་རྣམས་ནི། །

Just as space, which is not a cause,
Is the cause for forms, sounds, smells,
Tastes, tangible objects, and phenomena
Being seen, heard, and so on,
यथानिमित्तमाकाशं निमित्तं रूपदर्शने
शब्दगन्धरस्पृश्यधर्माणां च श्रवादिषु

དེ་བཞིན་སྐུ་གཉིས་སྒྲིབ་མེད་པའི། །
སྦྱོར་བས་བསྟན་པའི་དབང་དོན་ལ། །

སྐྱེ་བ་ཡི་ནི་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་ནོ། །
དེ་བཞིན་སྐུ་གཉིས་སྒྲིབ་མེད་པའི། །

ཟག་པ་མེད་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་དག །

Likewise, on account of being unobscured,
The two kāyas are the cause
For the arising of uncontaminated qualities
Within the objects of the sense faculties of the wise.
इन्द्रियार्थेषु धीराणामनास्रवगुणोदये
हेतुः कायद्वयं तद्वदनावरणयोगतः

བསམ་མེད་རྟག་བརྟན་ཞི་བ་གཡུང་དྲུང་ཉིད། །
རབ་ཏུ་ཞི་ཁྱབ་རྟོག་བྲལ་ནམ་མཁའ་བཞིན། །
ཆགས་མེད་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཐོགས་མེད་རྩུབ་རེག་སྤངས། །
ལྟ་གཟུང་མེད་དགེ་སངས་རྒྱས་དྲི་མ་མེད། །
བསམ་མེད་རྟག་བརྟན་ཞི་བ་གཡུང་དྲུང་ཉིད། །
རབ་ཏུ་ཞི་ཁྱབ་རྟོག་བྲལ་ནམ་མཁའ་བཞིན། །
ཆགས་མེད་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཐོགས་མེད་རྩུབ་རེག་སྤངས། །
ལྟ་གཟུང་མེད་དགེ་སངས་རྒྱས་དྲི་མ་མེད། །
Buddhahood is inconceivable, permanent, everlasting, quiescent, eternal,
Peaceful, all-pervasive, and free from conception, just like space.
It is everywhere without attachment and obstruction, free from harsh sensations,
Invisible, ungraspable, splendid, and stainless.
अचिन्त्यं नित्यं च ध्रुवमथ शिवं शाश्वतमथ
प्रशान्तं च व्यापि व्यपगतविकल्पं गगनवत्
असक्तं सर्वत्रापरतिघपरुषस्पर्शविगतं
न दृश्यं न ग्राह्यं शुभमपि च बुद्धत्वममलम्

རང་བཞིན་འོད་གསལ་ཞེས་བརྗོད་གང་ཡིན་ཉི་དང་མཁའ་བཞིན་གློ་བུར་གྱི། །
ཉོན་མོངས་ཤེས་བྱའི་སྤྲིན་ཚོགས་སྟུག་པོའི་སྒྲིབ་པ་ཡིས་ནི་བསྒྲིབས་གྱུར་པ། །
དྲི་མེད་སངས་རྒྱས་ཡོན་ཏན་ཀུན་ལྡན་རྟག་བརྟན་གཡུང་དྲུང་སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད། །
དེ་ནི་ཆོས་ལ་མི་རྟོག་རྣམ་འབྱེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་དག་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་འཐོབ། །

དེ་ནི་ཆོས་ལ་མི་རྟོག་རྣམ་འབྱེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་དག་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་འཐོབ། །
Buddhahood, spoken of as being luminous by nature [but] having been obscured by the massive web
Of the thick clouds of adventitious afflictive and cognitive [obscurations], just as the sun and the sky,
Is endowed with all the stainless buddha qualities and is permanent, everlasting, and eternal.
It is attained based on the wisdom that is nonconceptual about [all] phenomena and discriminates them.
बुद्धत्वं प्रकृतिप्रभास्वरमिति प्रोक्तं यदागन्तुक-
क्लेशज्ञेयघनाभ्रजालपटलच्छन्नं रविव्योमवत्
सर्वैर्बुद्धगुणैरुपेतममलैर्नित्यं ध्रुवं शाश्वतं
धर्माणां तदकल्पनप्रविचयज्ञानाश्रयादाप्यते

II.30
རྣམ་གྲོལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་དག་གིས། །
རང་དང་གཞན་གྱི་དོན་བསྟན་ཏེ། །
རང་གཞན་དོན་རྟེན་དེ་ལ་ནི། །
བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ་སོགས་ཡོན་ཏན་ལྡན། །
རྣམ་གྲོལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་དག་གིས། །
རང་དང་གཞན་གྱི་དོན་བསྟན་ཏེ། །
རང་གཞན་དོན་རྟེན་དེ་ལ་ནི། །
བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ་སོགས་ཡོན་ཏན་ལྡན། །
One’s own welfare and that of others is taught
Through the vimukti[kāya] and the dharmakāya.
This foundation of one’s own welfare and that of others
Is endowed with the qualities such as being inconceivable.
विमुक्तिधर्मकायाभ्यां स्वपरार्थो निदर्शितः
स्वपरार्थाश्रये तस्मिन् योगोऽचिन्त्यादिभिर्गुणैः

II.31
ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡུལ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་ཤེས་གསུམ་ཡུལ་མིན་ཕྱིར། །
ཡེ་ཤེས་ལུས་ཅན་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ནི། །
བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ་པར་རྟོགས་པར་བྱ། །
ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡུལ། །
སངས་རྒྱས་ཤེས་གསུམ་ཡུལ་མིན་ཕྱིར། །
ཡེ་ཤེས་ལུས་ཅན་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ནི། །
བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ་པར་རྟོགས་པར་བྱ། །
Buddhahood is the object of omniscient wisdom [alone].
Since it is not the object of the three wisdoms,
It is to be understood as being inconceivable
[Even] by people with wisdom.
अचिन्त्यमनुगन्तव्यं त्रिज्ञानाविषयत्वतः
सर्वज्ञज्ञानविषयं बुद्धत्वं ज्ञानदेहिभिः

ཕྲ་ཕྱིར་ཐོས་པའི་ཡུལ་མིན་ཏེ། །
དོན་དམ་ཡིན་ཕྱིར་བསམ་བྱའི་མིན། །
ཆོས་ཉིད་ཟབ་ཕྱིར་འཇིག་རྟེན་པའི། །
བསྒོམ་པ་ལ་སོགས་ཡུལ་མ་ཡིན། །
ཕྲ་ཕྱིར་ཐོས་པའི་ཡུལ་མིན་ཏེ། །
དོན་དམ་ཡིན་ཕྱིར་བསམ་བྱའི་མིན། །
ཆོས་ཉིད་ཟབ་ཕྱིར་འཇིག་རྟེན་པའི། །
བསྒོམ་པ་ལ་སོགས་ཡུལ་མ་ཡིན། །
Since it is subtle, it is not an object of study.
Since it is the ultimate, it is not [an object] of reflection.
Since it is the depth of the nature of phenomena,
It is not [an object] of worldly meditation and so forth.
श्रुतस्याविषयः सौक्ष्म्याच्चिन्तायाः परमार्थतः
लौक्यादिभावनायाश्च धर्मतागव्हरत्वतः

གང་ཕྱིར་གཟུགས་ལ་དམུས་ལོང་བཞིན། །
བྱིས་པས་དེ་སྔོན་མཐོང་མ་མྱོང་། །
བཙས་པའི་ཁྱིམ་ནས་བུ་ཆུང་གིས། །
ཉི་མའི་གཟུགས་བཞིན་འཕགས་པས་ཀྱང་། །
གང་ཕྱིར་གཟུགས་ལ་དམུས་ལོང་བཞིན། །
བྱིས་པས་དེ་སྔོན་མཐོང་མ་མྱོང་། །
བཙས་པའི་ཁྱིམ་ནས་བུ་ཆུང་གིས། །
ཉི་མའི་གཟུགས་བཞིན་འཕགས་པས་ཀྱང་། །
For naive beings have never seen it before,
Just as those born blind [have never seen] form.
Even noble ones [see it only] as an infant [would glimpse]
The orb of the sun while lying in the house of a new mother.
दृष्टपूर्वं न तद्यस्माद्वालैर्जात्यन्धकायवत्
आर्यैश्च सूतिकामध्यस्थित बालार्कबिम्बवत्

II.34
སྐྱེ་དང་བྲལ་ཕྱིར་རྟག་པ་སྟེ། །
འགག་མེད་ཕྱིར་ན་བརྟན་པ་ཡིན། །
གཉིས་མེད་ཕྱིར་དེ་ཞི་བ་སྟེ། །
གཡུང་དྲུང་ཆོས་ཉིད་གནས་ཕྱིར་རོ། །
སྐྱེ་དང་བྲལ་ཕྱིར་རྟག་པ་སྟེ། །
འགག་མེད་ཕྱིར་ན་བརྟན་པ་ཡིན། །
གཉིས་མེད་ཕྱིར་དེ་ཞི་བ་སྟེ། །
གཡུང་དྲུང་ཆོས་ཉིད་གནས་ཕྱིར་རོ། །
It is permanent because it is free from arising.
It is everlasting since it is free from ceasing.
It is quiescent because it is without duality.
It is eternal since the nature of phenomena [always] remains.
उत्पादविगमान्नित्यं निरोधविगमाद्ध्रुवम्
शिवमेतद्द्वयाभावाच्छाश्वतं धर्मतास्थितेः

རབ་ཞི་འགོག་པའི་བདེན་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
ཐམས་ཅད་རྟོགས་ཕྱིར་ཁྱབ་པ་ཉིད། །
གནས་པ་མེད་ཕྱིར་རྟོག་མེད་དེ། །
ཉོན་མོངས་སྤངས་ཕྱིར་ཆགས་པ་མེད། །
རབ་ཞི་འགོག་པའི་བདེན་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
ཐམས་ཅད་རྟོགས་ཕྱིར་ཁྱབ་པ་ཉིད། །
གནས་པ་མེད་ཕྱིར་རྟོག་མེད་དེ། །
ཉོན་མོངས་སྤངས་ཕྱིར་ཆགས་པ་མེད། །
It is peaceful because it is the reality of cessation.
It is all-pervasive since it realizes everything.
It is nonconceptual because it is nonabiding.
It is without attachment since the afflictions are relinquished.
शान्तं निरोधसत्यत्वाद्व्यापि सर्वावबोधतः
अकल्पमप्रतिष्ठानादसक्तं क्लेशहानितः

ཤེས་བྱའི་སྒྲིབ་ཀུན་དག་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་ནི་ཐོགས་པ་མེད། །
གཉིས་མེད་ལས་སུ་རུང་བའི་ཕྱིར། །
རྩུབ་པའི་རེག་དང་བྲལ་བ་ཡིན། །
ཤེས་བྱའི་སྒྲིབ་ཀུན་དག་པའི་ཕྱིར། །
ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་ནི་ཐོགས་པ་མེད། །
